XRAY - Model racing cars

I am collecting my XB8 EC tomorrow. I am no good at setting up buggy's so I am hoping that you guys can help me!

The track I am racing at is quite technical grass track, no really long staights, a few jumps and quite bumpy/rutted (and mostly wet and muddy in the winter months)

I have been looking at John Hazelwoods setup's online and I have kinda decided in a 5-5-2 diff oil setting.

I was also planning on using the 4 hole shock pistons with soft springs and 20wt shock oil.

I would be really greatful if you could let me know your opinions....and any alterations.,......

Wow, I'm no pro, but 20wt seems awfully low for 4 hole pistons.

Im in the US so I have no bearing on what your track are like, but I run 4 1.4 hole pistons with 50f/40r and its about as soft as I would go with med springs.

Any softer would bottom out on bumps I would think. But then again, the weather plays a role in the viscocity too. If its 40*F outside, its going to feel harder. I ran 25wt in my buggy last year...Jammin...and had 2 hole 1.5 pistons and it was nice. But it was 15* in the arena where we raced "Motorama".

you might wana try (ae oil) 60f and 30r with white springs on 1.4 4hole pistons and start from there use the full droop and 753 or 553 if its really bumpy load the ride height 7mm front and up to 15mm in the rear drop 2mm at a time till it suits you and maybe 4degrees rear toe rest as per kit set up.
