everyone seems to have missed the point for mounting the shocks like that
to fit the big bore shocks onto the car in the conventional manner is not possible due to the diameter of the bottom spring retaining cup!
you would have to either grind nearly all the way through the arm or have a longer ball end with a shorter spring sitting on a higher cup which would be no use as the arms would be weak or you would lose loads of travel!
the simplest solution ie without having to retool for new supension arms etc is to mount the shocks on a standoff/bracket that bolts into the existing arm using the existing holes. to counter this & keep the shocks working at the correct angles you then need to move the top mounts in by the same amount.
if you draw an imaginary triangle between the hingepin & both ends of the shock in both applications you can see the triangle should be pretty much the same only tipped in towards the centreline of the car
so although it looks like the shocks are running at a much shallower angle in reality they're not far off what we're already running
