On the EC with the longer chassis I just went to the alum braces front and rear and like them better. I have read that many keep the plastic for grip but I can still flex the chassis by hand with these braces and I think its due to the longer chassis on the EC version. I had issues with the plastic braces coming loose all the time and since my track has so many jumps it was either in my head or it was true that the car felt more lazy when it landed. Now I feel like the car is more planted and more aggressive but I can tell it tends to be a bit more twitchy to drive. I made some other setup changes like Mugen gray springs and less rear toe along with a few other tweaks and I think it will allow me to use the alum braces and get the car to drive how I want it. For me I like them but if you have them and are going to try the plastics they are so cheap so why not give it a shot and see for yourself. My understanding is the TQ has a shorter chassis so maybe the alum braces werent as good for it. |
