whitey-I found the stock brakes to be very good-as long as they don't get any fuel or oil on them. It's not usually a problem for me, because I'm pretty careful when I put fuel in the car, for exactly that reason. someone else filled the tank for me the other day and made a mess of it, and I noticed a decrease in performance of the brakes. I tried these, which are almost a direct fit- Im not quite happy with them, and I'm going to try something else. From what I hear, the avid discs sound good and I will try them, although they are kind of the same thing. the advantage of these types of discs is that they are not affected by fuel spills. Also, the kyosho pads mentioned earlier sound like exactly what I want, but I imagine will be adversely affected by fuel on them |

You really should try the Avid's first. They've feld up quite well for me and I have been using them ever since. Just make sure you do the regular maintenance before a race and you should be fine. I have yet to notice any brake fade on race-days. |
