Post subject: | Diff Oil Setup and Comparison |
This being my first year racing (buggy before, now the XT8 truggy), I have not really messed with diff oils too much...I find something that works and tend to stick with it - basically, I have not deviated from what I set my cars and trucks up with. I gotta believe I am missing out, so I need some advice and or info from those of you with more experience then I..here goes! Most all the tracks I run on are medium size, supercross style tracks (doubles, tabletops, whoops, etc). The tracks get very rutted and blown out - tracks need watered every round - no blue groove here! I am currently running 10/20/7 in the XT8, and it seems to be fine. What would the differences be going to 7/7/7? I think the 7k rear locks the rear end in, right? I know I can nail it halfway through a turn, or coming out of a turn, and it just tracks right on through - it feels solid, like it will not come around...I like that....what would going to the lighter front and center do for me? Would the truck be easier to drive? I looked at the manual, but I was looking for real world experience from those that have tried the different setups. Thanks for any help! Shaun |

Do you mean 5000/7000/1000? That seams very thin, but if that's a good setup for low traction (WHICH IS MY PROBLEM) then I will definitely try it. |
