Post subject: | LiPo Regulators |
I currently have the ProTek regulator for my LiPo battery but even when I shut off the power via the power switch, the little green light on the regulator stays on. I wouldn't care much if it didn't kill my battery. Is there a switch i can use that completely blocks power from the battery? |

rewire the batt power thru the switch first, then from there to the reg, and then regulator to the reciever. The switch takes a beating from the hot load straight from the Lipo pack, so change it out often. If you already have it wired like that, then I would say the swich is cooked and its feeding back or not cutting the power off. I use the Airtronics switches with the charge lead. Kendall at A-main says he uses the JR switch and it works good to. |

I don't think I have it wired that way, i'll have to check. I have the JR switch also but I don't use the one with the charging lead because I use the temperature guage for the lipo battery so I take it out anyway. |

The directions for that battery and regulator say to unplug the battery and not to just switch it off. I dont run a switch at all and just plug the 2 ends direct since its more secure and less chance of a failure. |

I'm fine with that at the end of the day, but doing that in between every race was annoying. With that regulator drawing power the whole time, I would be dead before the mains. |
