XRAY - Model racing cars

Is anyone else finding it a nightmare to get hold of parts for the XT8 in the UK???

On the second meeting my pipe took a hard impact and was pushed into the fuel tank, resulting in a hole getting burned in it. Having backordered one well over a month ago I am yet to see them in stock with the UK distributer (mirage racing).

This, along with body post mounts I have not been able to find in stock anywhere.

Not to mention the XT8 rims...all over this forum there are posts about the offset of the XRAY rims. Why choose to use an obscure offset that only ONE manufacturer in the world makes. Again, I've had two sets backordered ever since I bought the kit, and only have one set of wheels/tyres I can currently use.

To be honest, I'm getting thoroughly *bleeped* off with not being able to get hold of these spares (as I'm having to run a 120 tank), and can't run any other tyres as I can't buy any XRAY XT8 rims!!

Please contact your distributor in UK at sales@mirageracing.com who will let you know where to get the parts that you are looking for. With the first XT8 kits were send also all composite parts and XT8 wheels and they are in good quantity in Xray stock.

Just phoned teamxray.co.uk and they think they might have one set, although dave and lisa aren't their so the chap couldn't be certain and didn't know where they were if they did have them.

Emailed mirage about all the parts and they haven't replied, although Pete from Bolton Model Mart phoned them today and they couldn't give him any delivery date on the rims (although according to brano (above post) XRay have good stock of XT8 wheels?).

Suddenly owning an XT8 sucks slightly as no spares are available (although BMM does have a tank in stock which is a bonus!)
