Hello,
This topic may have already been discussed and explored, but my big question is when will Xray release a 4 hole version of all of the shock pistons or a few of them? Also it just seems like that the majority of drivers are using 4 hole. I know that new trends start all the time and things are learned. That is the awesome aspect to Xray. No one at Xray seems to sugar coat a problem when there is one discoverd. The thing that slightly bother me is that if the shocks were designed to be larger bore why was it not recognized that a 4 hole piston would be superior.
Thank You,
Loyal Xray Customer

I was looking for all the parts needed to convert my EC into a XB8US and I seen a part XRA 358037 4-Hole Shock Set Straight, is this a new product for a 4 hole setup on the EC?

Rob-

Yes, those are the new pre-made 4 hole pistons that fit the EC and the XT8. Unfortunately, I have yet to see them in stock anywhere. They are not on the X-SHOP either.

I bought a $12 finger drill bit set that is metric for piston hole making and that should be easy enough to do.

Would be nice to have them pre made but a hole into plastic is a piece of cake.

The text for the new shock pistons also claim that they are more precisely round than the two hole pistons.

You might have to special order them, probably some retailers don't know about them? I know that the Canadian supplier has some in stock, since they are in my tool box and on the shelf at the LHS.

Well it is one guy that does that, and also has a normal job...

But yeah, just go to your local shop and have them order:

Well I am 1 guy that works and likes to buy toys that will arrive in a timely matter, lol. Seriously though he may be a cool guy but I am a bit worried that buying the tools I did are back ordered and all that I ask is a response to how my order is being handled.

I went with TH since Amain and Bmain were sold out of the tunning wrench i wanted so when I went to Hudy E-shop they wanted more money and $10 shipping for 2 wrenches. I now learned that even though Hudy lists items they arent necessarly in stock which will result in a back order just the same at TH's store.

Well its not been a week for me yet and I wait for his email response to my order status to determine what to do. I would hate to file a PP claim but I wont tie up my money for several weeks if a back order wasnt posted on his site and I knowingly agreed to purchase on those terms. Its not very fair to the buyer to have to sit in the dark and wonder when they are getting their order.

Atleast I was smart enough to make a small order with a new place despite the fact I could have saved $60 buying from him vs Amain on my last $1k+ purchase. I sort of wanted to test the waters with a new store and so far am scratching my head on what to do next.

So are those any better then drilling out the 2 hole pistons?

I just bought the bit set to do this but is there any way to do it wrong or anything I should pay closer attention to?
