Post subject: | XT8 Steering tunrnbuckle length??? |
I just finished racing the XT8 for the 1st time this past Sat. The XT8 performed very well. The question has to do with the length of the turnbuckle from the steering servo arm to the ball stud attached to the servo saver. I'm wondering if one could shorten this distance, i.e., the distance between the servo arm and the ball stud, if it would reduce the effects of bending and torque of the chassis when in a hard turn. If I might make an observation; does it make sense to turn the entire steering servo over 180 degrees so that the orientation of the sevo arm would indeed be closer to the ball stud thus reducing the length of the turnbuckle and the effects of unwanted torque or bend on the turnbuckle itself in hard turn conditions? Thanks for your insight on this question. XT8NY |
