anyone know if mugen diff gaskets are the same size as xray? the xray part is out of stock and also the mugen come 10 in a pack for $5 so i'll just grab those if they'll fit. |

Being new to nitro 1/8th scale, how often do yo need to change the gaskets? |

You should change them will every diff refill or rebuild, however I have managed to save a few when they pulled off of the diff cup or ring gear with absolute no loss of paper or tearing around the screw holes. reused them with good success and no diff problems. If they are stuck on the ring gear, a little soak in some nitro wash and they will peel right off with no damage, ususally. I onl;y reused them when I was down on gaskets and the diff gears had some use on them. I would highly recommend a new gasket ever time, it would save you the hassle of a possible leak. |
