I did the same thing, bought a second hand one and thought there was a problem, the servo horns if that is what you mean would make little difference to the throw if the height is correct when centres, particularly on the steering.

I found my problem was infact trim and end point adjustment, i was only using under 1/4 of my total steering when i first got it, was happy with it all the same.

Became a lot harder to drive at speed once i had found this out and set my steering throw back to 100%

needless to say, car is back in kit form waiting replacement parts .... which i am heading over to the sale section now to put a WTB on.

The guy I bought the car from has sent me nothing apart from the car and manual.
He hasnt included any of the different shape or sized spacers ar any of the tools.
The servo's horn/arm has some holes higher up than the one that is being used and I suspect that if I fit the steering rod on a higher hole I will increase the end throw, at a trade off will be the fact that it will be extra leverage acting against the servo.

Right, here is a picture of my servo horn, people tend to prefer to use the horn that came with the servo as it is likely to be a better fit.

Sorry it isnt mounted at the moment but it gives an idea. With that horn as it is, my servo/steering mechanisms are capable of attempting far more steering throw than the car is able to give, a couple of millimetres is unlikely to affect it much.

Again, we suggest you check the end point adjustment and trim settings on your transmitter.

Edit: Apologiesfor the state of the mounting and the servo screw. This is the state it was sold to me in and is one of the more insignificant problems i have found so far.
