FAQ on XT8 Wheel Offset Posted by Rocco Margiotta The XT8 has its own wheel who's offset lies between a Pro-Line Standard Offset and 1/2 Offset which usually the following frequent inquiries. If I want to run my truck at stock width with one of the new low-profile wheels or a wheel from another manufacturer, which offset wheel and hubs do I need? You will need something similar to a standard offset truggy rim AND a +5mm hubs to get back to stock width. 1/2 offset wheels (same offset that Losi uses) will make the truck too wide. Where can I get +5mm hubs? Any XRAY dealer can order the XRAY 355255 from your respective national XRAY distributor. Can I run the 1/2 offset (Losi) rims on my XT8? You can, but it makes the truck so wide it doesn't like to handle as well as it does in stock form. Wheel offsets is there a difference between brands? Standard offset is standard offset across the brands. You will have to use +5mm hubs with the standard offset/ zero offset wheels to get to stock width. Narrow or wide offset what it does. A wide offset gives stability & is used most of the time, it creates a safe feel. Its best use is med to high grip tracks. Advise +5 hubs & zero offset wheels. A Narrow offset is used to generate mechanical grip when grip is very low. Advice +2 hubs & zero offset wheels. |
