I think the gears are just "stepping" across each other.

So long as it doesent come to an abrupt stop or lock up internally, you should be fine.

this is dependent on the building of the diff and that they are assembled correctly.

check the colour of the diff oil if its blackish strip em down clean and check em

i stripped them down and the diff oil was black. I cleaned them and it looks like the gears are getting a little flat.

Bad gears? Do you have a new EC?

No, I have the TQ.
Hopefully the new EC gears will not have this problem, but when are they going to be in store????

The New Hardened Gears should be in store now or very very close to it, we got our shipment in NZ a few weeks ago and i have Ran them in my TQ version for the last meeting and a bit of practise other day and they are still super smooth and no wear at all.

These Gears we got are exactly the same as whats going in the EC i believe so they will be good.

Chase up your local shop if they havent got there replacement gears in and im sure they will contact Xray and get them for you.
