XRAY - Model racing cars

Being the TQ is no longer available, can most of the parts from the R be used as spares? I mean the diffs, shocks, turnbuckles, chassis, driveshafts, etc.?

In stead of buying all of the individual parts, I was planning on buying a new kit, but the R is all I can find. This works out good bec. those are the parts I want.

Yes, most of the parts from XB8R you can use on your XB8TQ. There will be soon XB8/XT8 Parts Cross-reference Table that will list all spare parts for XRAY XB8, XB8R and XT8 cars, to see which parts fit the various versions of the cars.

Clint, everything from the R is interchangeable except a few parts. The front and rear suspension geometry changed with the TQ, so you won't be able to use the lower blocks in the front or rear (they are plastic anyway). The R also comes with CVD's instead of universals, a 44T spur gear, and different hingepins to accept the E-Clips that come on the R. As far as the parts (arms, chassis, tank, etc.), you can use them with any of the XB8 models; XB8R, XB8, XB8TQ.

guess I might as well look for a TQ or just wait for the EC would probably be my best bet...
