It's important to check the regulations for your local track or series. Some are fully open allowing you to run any engine, while others cap out with a restriction of .28.
Due to the widespread cap of .28 most engine companies are making purpose-built .28 truggy engines with fantastic performance and plenty of torque.
For specifics on the engines and discussions on which pipe/clutch/gearing best suit them, I suggest checking the manufacturer's website and/or product support forum.
