well as you guys know i am new to this forum, I just got my xb8 tq on friday, built it friday, and raced it in round 1 of our arizona state point series saturday.
so I came up with a setup and it was perfect, i made one change but ended up goind back to my original setup. first lap around the track i kept doing donuts left and right, (so used to my lesser car) But then i started to drive it, the car likes to be driven like an electric buggy, smooth on the throttle and you got to stay on your game, but when you drive it the corner speed the car carries is absolutely amazing. So first qualifier comes up and I drive the car and put in screaming fast run. win my qualifier by 8 seconds and hold on to tq till round 2. So i am just loving the car.
well the track is new and traction always comes up in round 2, the sun has also gone down and the tempature at least 10 degrees, its starting to get cold. well car is still great but my shock oil choice was to heavy and with the cold and a track starting to rut the car went away in the second qualifier and worse in the main., qualified 4th in the main behind and in front of some fast guys. ended up breaking in the main and finishing 6th. (i had to rush the build a little too much).
I have learned a lot about the car and know i will just get faster and faster with it as i get some more wheel time, the car suits my driving style and the build is amazing. just a little more setup time and i will be ready.
