We had the car running great and than I sat down and did the droop mod. Went back out and the car felt awesome, I was saying to myself, wow this car is rotating and it would carve the turn so hard. First few laps I felt that this was the ticket but as I started to push the car it was becoming erradic in the turns, and more than once I found myself on the pipe from turning in so hard. It was just too much steering and I found it would hender my consistancy, took the extra droop out with the droop screws and immediately the car felt amazingly consistant and easy to drive. Please remember, this is on a hard packed track that cracks and fairly smooth. The goal it to take traction away, not add it. Very similar to carpet racing versus asphalt. |

david- quick Q: can you use the front sway to adjust the traction control in the corners? that way you can still have the droop for rough parts like whoops. i took my front sway off but i think im gonna put it on and mess w/ it. i think it will act the same as the droop screws if you adjust the sway ? or not... my car was spinning out at the corners this week and i lost some laps but i still got 2nd. im going to change the diffs to 3,7,3 from 7,7,3 maybe this will help too? i started w/ genes setup |

David that is exactly what I mean. It was a smooth high bite track with cracks, a little wavy in corners but my car would just turn sharply at times almost into the pipe. Like to much steering or traction. I will have to remember that for next year. Thanks again. |

z-man - I think with some more time we can figure out how to accomplish the stabilty part with thicker oil and possibly sway bars. Give it a shot, I know I plan to try and get the same feeling with full droop, that will allow the car to be more standard as far as setup goes. |
