I am in need of replacement brake cam bushings and those nice large body clips that come in the kit. Can't for the life of me find part numbers for either. Has anyone found bearings to use on the brake cams maybe? |

i hunted for about a month after getting my TQ kit to try and find bearings for the brake cams, but it seems such a thing does not exist. |

You need to drill the holes to fit ballbearings. But I think they would just get stuck in the mud, if you know what I'm saying... |

You don't have to worry about bushings binding up ![]() |

I just ordered avid 5x8x2.5 flanged bearings to install in place of the bushings. The bushings actually wear the cams down and they too need to be replaced now. I have cam bearings in all my other buggies and they hold up fine. Much smoother and last a ton longer than the bushings and no wear on the cams. Plus the bearings are cheaper ($1 each) but you will have to widen the hole in the plate about 1mm for them to fit. |
