I like the mud scrapers! The diff gear turns smaller? Does that mean something special to you?

Same here. Mine is with Aluminum uprights also. I have made plastic pieces on my stock rear uprights as mud scrapers already. Should be better from genuire Xray.

The smaller crown gear allows the front to be "over-driven", which in turn lets the front pull the car around more. This will alleviate some push and allow the car to accelerate through bumpy stuff better. I run spoked wheels, therefore have no need for the scrapers, neat idea though.

That's what I am thinking. 48T spur gear with this 38T diff gear can work out some different drive ratios. Like the Mugen.

The mud scrappers have a design there. Instead of a solid piece, there is a slot there to relieve force. Clever.

I USED THE 48TH SPUR THIS WEEKEND AT A VERY SMALL TRACK AND I NOTICED THAT MY CAR HANDLED ALOT BETTER EXITING THE CORNERS THEN BEFORE.................

QUESTION::::::::

SO CAN YOU RUN THE NEW CROWN GEARS IN THE FRONT ONLY OR WILL YOU HAVE TO RUN THEM FRONT AND BACK.......

Hi,

The making of the 38T is like increasing pitch very slightly so that it has the same diameter as the 40T. They will not mesh as perfect theoratically but you won't notice at all and especially using on the front. Most loads are at the rear.

If you have driven 1/10 and 1/8 on road gas cars, you notice that you don't need to move your engine to switch spurs and pinions as in the old days. This is the same thing.
