Hi, just got a ? for those that run the spacers and the 48T center diff spur gear...those shims that you put under the center diff mounts can you leave them and change the spur gear to 46T?..I was just wondering beacuase doesnt it raise the diff mounts for the larger gear...then when you put back the regular size gear wouldnt that space affect the way the clutch bell mesh with the regular spur...just a thought...thanks |

If you keep the diff mount the same height and change spur gears of course it will affect your gear mesh. Luckily the incrediable engineers at Xray came out with their patetented adjustable gear mesh system of slotting the engine mount holes. |

I dont see why the shims would have to be removed. so long as the engine will slide over far enough for proper mesh, which it should. Give it a shot and see. |

We'll I installed the spacer to check the to see if there any difference ..and you all were right the amount of play that was created from the spacer was so small that the regular 46t fit with just a tad more play....thanks craig |
