Turanden, if you need more top end I have 3 words for you... ...lean it out. Honestly, I run a RB WS7 X3 and never lack top end. I don't think any of the current engines on the market would be lacking in that area if they're tuned correctly. |

I have always heard that the P5, not the P5x, is kinda lacking in top end but is awesome on the bottom, that is why I was trying to either gear it just a little higher or change the pipe. This is a interesting motor and may not last too long. I bought this motor used for $40 and it had 8 gallons on it and no pinch. I sent it to OS Rocket to have it pinched. It can back so tight that I had to use a drill to turn it over for a bit just to loosen it. It broke in nicely and at about 3/4 of a gallon it still has great pinch and great power. I have not yet raced this motor though, it is mainly yard work. This motor revs harder than anything I have had, idles nice, and has a ton of smoke even if I run it up to 260. I hope to get to the track soon with it as I just put it in my 3rd XB8!!!!! 2 of my other kids want to race now and they are just going to have to share this one before I go on welfare lol |

WOW! I think you need to buy some stock in XRAY... ![]() I think I read you are running a JP-1 on your P5, if you have a Novarossi 9853 or a 9886 it will help you out on the top-end. A JP-2 will work as well. |

X-ray needs to invest in me!!!! haha I have 4 kids now that want to race, and my oldest daughter is getting quite good. I think I have to put my other daughter into a truggy though since I dont think I can keep up to doing any more than 3 buggies in one race. Hint hint, Mario get us a truggy ![]() |
