Post subject: | Quick question about different Diff Fluid options |
Quick question guys. When I was building my XB8TQ, the diff combo I heard the most about for tight and somewhat open tracks is a 3-3-5 combo. Well, I finally had a chance to try it out.. and it seems that my rear end likes to kick out on the corners alot now. Anyone have another diff fluid combo I could try next? I mean, I know I want more front bite. I like having an even 4wd feel to my car, but Im puzzled as far as say a middle diff fluid level. Thinking maybe somehting like a 4-3-5 or a 4-4-5, Im not even sure ![]() These are OFNA diff fluids btw, so thats 3000wt, 4000wt etc. Thanks alot for the help. |

I am running 2-5-7 in my diffs for that reason. I went up in the rear and it locked in the rear even more on power while it still rotates coming through the corner. Where is it losing traction, going in, middle or out, on or off power? |

I use 5-3-3 and love it. Just switch your front and rear diffs around real quick and try it. Pulls the car through and the rear rarely comes around. |
