Hello All

This is my first post on these forums as I have just got my hands on a XB8TQ and need some setup tips for this weekend. On Sunday I will be racing at a very tight technical track which I have never been to before as its part of a championship I doubt I will go back either so this will be a one off setup.
Here is a picture of the track itself:



I couldnt tell you what the surface is actually like but on that picture it looks like a short grass with not to many bumps.
Can anyone reccomend me a setup for this track as I would love to come away with a trophy and praise Xray and you guys for it :lol:

Did you contact Jon Hazelwood or Ryan Donovan? They are very helpful and will give you all the smallest details needed for your track. If you let them know which track it is exactly they may even send you link to the direct set-up to be used.

Hyper UK,

Sorry for being late here but hopefully this will still be of use. I run the TQ down in the South West - in the BRCA Regionals. We have 2 / 3 tracks we run on, all grass balding in places with med - high grip and semi bumpy to bumpy.

Have done a fair bit of trying out various set-ups, along with my m8 who also runs his TQ. Currently running the following basics:

Diffs: 10,7,3 (CPS)
Front sus: 600 Xray oil, 1.4 straight pistion
Rear sus : 400 Xray oil, 1.4 straight piston
Ride height - 2mm spacer rear, 1mm front
Camber - 4mm rear, 1.5 front (negative)
Toe - 3 deg (in) rear 1 deg (out) front
Rollbars - 3mm front and rear
Kickups etc all as per stock manual settings...

You should find this gives you a fairly balanced car that stays planted, without giving too much tendency for grip rolling but with reasonable steering - have a go and see if it helps yiur track doesn't look too dissimilar to ours...

Oh and by the way - crimefighters would be a good tyre choice - that or step-ups - CF's will not be so twitchy and looking at the track would be my choice....
