I have a P7R and the carb is very picky in terms of tuning. With my RB engines you can go 1/2 turn either way on the low speed and the tune changes but no too much. 1/4 turn either way on the Picco and either it stalls or runs way too rich. Good luck tuning it mine is sitting in the box until the end of the race season when I have time to play with it. The first P7R I had came with a bad crank and the pin backed out causing the conrod to destroy the backplate and seize the engine. Ofna replaced the entire engine FOC but it just doesn't run as good as the first one did. One thing you can try is shortening the pressure line from the exhuast to the tank. I've seen this work on some engines that were prone to stalling even when the needle settings and temps looked right. |
