I was wondering if anybody has broken thier fuel tank once, twice, so on? I have broken 2 now both in the same place ![]() ![]() ![]() |

Sounds like something is wrong in the way it as fitted because i have never seen this before. Did you use the rubber grommets to mount the tank ? Make sure you dont tighten the tank down too much , it should have some movement. |

I'm saying if I grab the top of my fuel tank like at the cap, I can push it out toward the pipe quite easily. If it is way too tight, the tank will feel solid like it is bolted down. The center diff will prevent you from rotating it in the other direction though. |

If you are running the aluminum front brace make sure you use a good steel or Ti screw and loctite the screw with blue loctite when you install it. The brace needs a lip on it so the screw doesn't take all the compression load when landing. You can also try the composite front brace as it seems to handle the shock loads from landing better. I've broken the fuel tank when casing a jump. If you just tighten the screws enough to very slightly compress the grommets you shouldn't have a problem with that happening anymore. |
