Hi,
Can anyone help. I have more or less completed building the XB8TQ and I have stumbled across a problem.
When I installed the hitec servo nothing happened. I have Spektrum transmitter. Tonight I changed the servo and powered up. For some reason when I applied throttle the brakes applied and visa versa. Also the brake linkages were hitting the spur gear and the servo was moving.
Does the throttle rod need to be screwed in to the very end of the thread?
For a fantastic build I am rather disappointed that I cannot solve this problem. I have followed the manual but this cant be right.
Please help

you need to read your radio gear instructions it will tell you how to reverse the servo this can be normal when fitting radio gear .also you need to realign the servo horn position on the servo to avoid the hitting ...make sure the radio gear is turned on when you place the horn on the servo after that is should just be a case of fine tune .reguarding the servo moving in your radio you will have end point adjustment for throttle and brake this also needs adjusted ....there is nothing by the sounds of it wrong with your items you just havent set them up...if ya need more help just shout

Throttle and brake linkages can be very tricky. there is some extra time spent there on setting it all up correctly. the Manual is a excellent reference for a good starting point. just need to read thru it a few times and work with the problems..

then after you get it on the track there will be more adjustments that will be needed to get it set correctly.

Sounds like you need to reverse your throttle servo, center your trim switch, reset the endpoints to 0, then start setting up the linkages.

I think you might have your brake linkages on the wrong side of the servo arm, that is if they are hitting the spur gear.
