Hi everyone! Just sold my hyper 7pbs for a new xray 8..top!! So far! I need some help starting my hyper 21 uk pro engine. At the moment I cant turn the flywheel to get the piston to lower. Any tips in how to do this? I have tried the hairdrier trick etc, put fuel after fuel etc down pass the glow plug. I as of yet have had no luck starting my engine. I didnt seem to have this bother with my old engine! Sounds pretty noobie so dont laugh at me! Any help will be much appreciated! How can i move my flywheel..with hands its impossible! I have a starter box! Thank you! ![]() |

Nice Screen-name--- Must be a new engine? Since you have tried all I was going to say, you may have to grab the flywheel with some Vise-grips or something to break it away from TDC. Heat up the head then do it, should break free |

when i got mine (rb c5) it happened me during the entire break-in heat it with a heat gun to ~200* before trying to start it.... let the starter box spool up for a couple seconds before pushing the buggy all the way down..... |

ok, well if all else fails...after trying everything else pull the motor out take the clutch bell off get a cordless driver (Makitta etc.) and turn it over till the battery goes dry..... be sure to put some oil in the cylinder while doing this...not much but a little will do... then drop the motor back in the car(dont forget the clutch bell) heat it up with with a dryer so the head get pretty warm....and should be better from there.....heat gun will work much better but hair drter will work ok... ![]() |

if you crack open the glow plug a little while you start it ,this should help. then you can tighten it back up when it starts. ![]() |
