Both rb and os make great engines I am running a ws7ll in my xb8 and my buddy runs a v-spec in his 777 seems like the vspec might have a bit more bottom end but that is how he likes to drive it with a tight clutch. Either one you will be happy with.

I have both:

RB S5 and the S7II

They are both great motors! If i were you I would get the S5... its a screamer! and if, for some reason you needed more top end you could just buy the S7II piston/sleeve.

I think the S5 is the best motor out for the $$$ right now.

I also have: Vspec, JP FX, Fantom

Since then I have had both the S5 and S7II modded and i like the S7II a little better now.

Thanks for the info.

BTW, TMizzle, did you make it to that other race this past weekend?
I was the one asking you all of the questions about your xray.

Thanks again.

well just about any motor will last depends on how it is run and how it is Tuned......if tuned to about 90% of it's performance you'll get about 3 gal. before you have to start maintaince...
at about 80% you'll get about 3 to 5 gal...
and then just some motors have a personality all there own??
have one P5 i modded lasted but 6 galons still good too?
and another i took care of and "Babied" lasted about 3 gal.....
and almost all motors will last a good strong 2 galons or more...
if bad clutch tunning is used i have seen motors fizzle in about a gallon....
heck for club bashing i even have a hobby people XTM stock! i use at one of our local tracks and everyone thinks its some super ultra mod motor?
and there around 119.00.....and one kid and his dad were pretty inpressed one day after seeing mine went and got one i helped him tune it and 5 galons later he is still kicking everyones butt!!...
but the RB motors are very nice!! and you should have no probs with it lasting awhile.......any of them are good.....just makes sure you can get parts for the Model of motor you get...as they will update there line from time to time...
personaly i run P5's and 421B's at some bigger races only cause there cheap and easy to find parts for and dont cost an arm and leg to get replacement parts for...
example for a piston and sleeve unless one has them pinched cost around 69.00 to 73.00...
the major events where i have to travel my motor guys set me up...
usually the JP Mod motors and Modified O.S Vspec's but cliubbing there way to much, sure they look cool down the straight but on smaller tracks there not real useful....
and those like our 2000 and 2002 worlds runs they are lucky if they last for the event as there tuned to there full potential. and might get about half a galon out of those...
