Post subject: | Rear diff assembly problem. |
I just recently purchased a new XB8TQ kit and found a problem with the rear diff outdrives. When I try to assemble the rear differential, I am unable to attach the outdrive pin to one of the diff halves when assembling the differential. I have made sure that the o-rings are seated and made sure that I have not mixed the front diff outdrives with the rear. I measured the two rear outdrives that came with the kit, and one of them is .3mm - .5mm smaller than the other (the smaller one is giving me problems). After further investigation, the problematic outdrive is also missing the "lubrication groove". Any help in this matter is greatly apprecaited. I like the kit/car, but am frustrated with this situation. Please help. How do I attach a picture to show the outdrive? Thx, Jason Kahler |

hmm... I believe that is a manufacturing defect. I've never seen an outdrive without the groove. Contact RCAmerica and they will take care of it for you. |
