The new XB8TQ body fits much better than the original kit. The dimples actually line up perfectly with the body mount posts! ![]() My only problem is that the design of the nose makes it really hard to get it on the car in between the top of the two front shocks. I followed the lines for cutting out the body exactly but I'm assuming you have to cut out a lot more. Anybody have any advice or pics of how they cut theirs? |

I always like to cut my body out a little more than just cut lines for that reason. I like the body to come on and off really fast because that's just less time it takes to get something in your hand to throw after a race, that you wouldn't have to fix later... (That last comment was made for comedic purposes only). But in all honesty cut a little more than just the lines... |

Just trim your body so it will fit well all around the buggy. Trimming along the lines is a good starting point. One spot that is very crucial to check is the front steering range and suspension. Make sure the steering ackerman arm does not hit the body at full throw in both directions. Also compress the suspension through the full range to make sure it does not bind or rub. Trim a little extra right above the front upper arms - when the suspension is fully compressed, this part of the body is very prone to cracking due to the angle of the upper arms pushing on the body. I also like to take a little extra off the very back of the body. Just a reasonable gap so it does not rub on the rear shock tower and rub off that nice black anodizing ![]() |
