Xray XB8R How do you protect the receiver really well???????

Great ideas... I had not thought about using that type of foam. I have been trying to use a much firmer rubber foam, with sticky tape on one side. It doesnt flex much. I will try the filter/tire foam... What about styrofoam...? Is there any way to safely use expandable insulation foam...like they use around windows?

This is by far the BEST foam to use. It comes in two densities. One that is super soft for the receiver, and one that is firmer for the receiver battery. The airplane guys swear by this stuff. Check it out here:

I used to use foam but I ran out of room in the box. Now my electronics are secured with velcro in the box and the extra wires take up the slack.

Alternatively you can use aircon pipe insulation foam. Those black foam tubes that you run the copper pipes thru....they are lasting and does not really soak up water
