Post subject: | XB8 tq upper arm shim placement. |
I need some help with the upper arm spacing. With out spacers I have around 8mm total of forward and backward movement. In order to take up the play or movement in the upper arms I need to use two 3mm shims and a one 2mm + 1mm. I am not sure how much play I should have or where Shim placement should be, can someone give me help on this? One trouble I have run into is if I put a 3mm in the front of upper arm and a 3mm in the back of upper arm the ackerman arm bolt rubs the underside of the upper arm. |

Hey Rocco, Could you or Rich put pics of the upper arms mod you guys had. I think rich had his moded so he used the swaybar linkages to prevent the arm from moving around. Thanks. |

Jason, I posted the pictures in a seperate thread so that everyone could see them. Took me about 15 minutes to do the mod, but I've got a machine shop in the garage ![]() -Adam |

Dunno man, riding with a buddy of mine. We'll probably leave here Thursday afternoon or something, not too sure yet. I still need to get entered, but I don't know if snail mail will get it there on time. Might just have to send it priority. How many of the RCA guys are making it from TX? -Adam |
