 Post subject: XB8 tq upper arm shim placement.

I need some help with the upper arm spacing. With out spacers I have around 8mm total of forward and backward movement. In order to take up the play or movement in the upper arms I need to use two 3mm shims and a one 2mm + 1mm. I am not sure how much play I should have or where Shim placement should be, can someone give me help on this? One trouble I have run into is if I put a 3mm in the front of upper arm and a 3mm in the back of upper arm the ackerman arm bolt rubs the underside of the upper arm.

Hey Rocco, Could you or Rich put pics of the upper arms mod you guys had. I think rich had his moded so he used the swaybar linkages to prevent the arm from moving around. Thanks.

Jason, I posted the pictures in a seperate thread so that everyone could see them. Took me about 15 minutes to do the mod, but I've got a machine shop in the garage :D.

Dunno man, riding with a buddy of mine. We'll probably leave here Thursday afternoon or something, not too sure yet. I still need to get entered, but I don't know if snail mail will get it there on time. Might just have to send it priority. How many of the RCA guys are making it from TX?
