Hello, How many of you racers cover your CVD's nuckle points with shrink tubing. If this is not done, how much more wear should I expect - due to dirt and debris, and how often will the pins go flying out? Ofcourse I use threadlock on all metal to metal! Does anyone just use Shoo Goo on the pins like the old days? Thanks for all replies... any comments are great. Grayalf BTW - I just got the Futaba S9451 for throttle/brake position - had to order the S9351 for steering. Also got the OFNA JP-1 header set. I hear its the top choice. Grayalf, I've been using the XRAY CVDs in the rear of my buggy all season with great success. I do shrink tube them primarily to keep the CVD pin from falling out rather than to keep the dirt out. You should rebuild them every so often to lube the pivot as well as replace the set screw. |
