How does everyone clean their engines? How often and what methods for flushing out the old oils and gum? Is it safe to put alchohol (99%) in the carburator to flush out the motor, is it OK to put after run into the carburator? All your tips and tricks and why you use them would be helpful. Thanks guys - Grayalf |

As long as you use a high quality fuel and keep your air cleaner clean, you shouldn't have to flush your motor with alcohol or anything because there won't be any kind of gum in there... But in the event that you do, it would be best to take the motor apart, spray everything out with that Dynamite nitro wash or motor spray, then RELUBE EVERYTHING as you put it back together. That is EXTREMELY IMPORTANT!!!! As far as after run oil, it is recommended that you put it in the carburetor as well as the cylinder. |
