I know that on the rear you add the arm holder bushing value and the bushing in the aluminum rear upright to get the total toe-in but I was wondering about the front. If I have 2 degrees of inboard toe-in and 1.5 degrees toe-out at the wheel does that give any different value? :? Thats how I have mine set-up and the front end seems toed out a lil too much maybe :? I may just have this whole thing messed up and have no clue on how to get it how I want so any help and/or suggestions would be great. :D Plus does anybody have any nice tricks on measuring the toe angle on the front without a setup board? 8)

For precise meassuring of the toe use the #108805 HUDY Set-up System for 1/8 off-road cars.

To understand the effect of the different toe please read Set-up section at the end of the instruction manual. The front toe is adjusted via steering linkages so there has to be a different approach than setting rear toe which is done purely through the eccentric bushings at the suspension holders + outboard toe. To adjust and meassure the front toe you will need the HUDY set-up station.

Toe-in/out is a measure of the wheel in relation to how parallel it is to the centerline of the chassis, therefore it has nothing to do (practically speaking) with the eccentric bushings used on either end of the car.

You can only adjust toe on the rear using either the eccentric bushings or the optional aluminum hub carriers and their associated bushings.

If you put a 2* eccentric bushing on the rear-front of the arms, then you would effectively decrease toe-in (or add toe-out) to the front wheels because you are spacing the wheels wider and not lengthening the tie-rods. Unlike the rear, you shouldn't change bushings in the front to change the toe, they are used to adjust such things as pro-toe and kickup (it's not true caster). The ONLY way to adjust front toe correctly is using the tie-rods (steering links). Make sure you adjust both equally.

Thanks a lot Rocco! I think I'm starting to get it now. So what's the difference as far as the "sweep" of the arms when it comes to tuning? How does it affect the car on the rear and the front?
