I have a chance to get an XB8 for a smoking deal. My issue is getting everything else. I am looking for the least expensive way to get back into nitro without buying junk. I got rid of my AD2 because i could never get the thing tuned right. It had a Wasp in it, everyone told me to get an OS but i never listen! Anyway i would kind of lke to get a shaft start but i dont know if it will even fit and if it wont fit what is an extremely easy to tune .21, i do want to race it. Thanks in advance guys. |

Yep the O.S. RG is an excellent engine. The only thing with them is that they do not quite have the longevity of other engines. Most racers get around 5 gallons out of them before they start to lose compression and consistency. The Novarossi 21BF is a great engine that is on the same level as the RG but it does last quite a bit longer. A few guys who run them locally have gotten about 10 gallons out of them. Not bad at all for the price! |
