Locally, it has been made mandatory to use a trottle return spring. If you damage your servo, or your batterytotally cuts out, the failsafe will not return your throttle to home position. Using a throttle return spring directly acting on your carb slide can greatly reduce the chances of a runaway |

You need both. The electronic one prevents runaways due to signal loss. The throttle return spring prevents runaways during battery failure and linkage connections coming loose. Neither type can do the job of the other. |

there was a runaway with a spec sunday.... wide open 928... in a lsp. missed me by 12 inches. how you ask? some how he lost his bat pak right when he punched it on a straight. return spring would have saved lots of damage. ALWAYS RUN TRS |
