So are the composite chassis stiffeners meant to be an equally rigid weight reducing upgrade vs the metal ones with the XB8? Are the absence of the adjustable suspension bushings a downgrade?

For others replying, in general are there after market parts that you used to upgrade the stock XB8 parts included in the R? Similarly vice versa, are there some things that you thought were essential in the XB8 that aren't included in the R that I would need to buy separately?

The composite braces are less rigid than the braces included with the regular XB8, however some have been using the composite braces as a tunig option for bumpy tracks.

The absence of the adjustable suspensioin bushings is a downgrade, but again, you can later upgrade should you desire to do so...
