XRAY - Model racing cars

Hi guys! I am thinking about weight balance of my XB8 2016 and less rear traction and I have one question for you... What is your orientation of plastic battery plate? First battery and then ESC or opposite direction?
In my case, I have first battery-ESC.. My car suffers less rear traction and hits to chassis in the front (almost stock setup). I know, I can do a lot of chassis settings changes...BUT..
Our best driver on the track has opposite setup - first E
SC and then battery as well as Ty Tessman.. So maybe I could lighten the front and achieve better rear traction only with one change!
Does it make a sense? What do you prefer?

I have my XB8 and XB8e handling well, they turn well and do everything I ask of them except... I'm wearing out the chassis at an alarming rate, the chassis hits the ground everywhere on the track. It seems that every track I race has big g out jump faces and no real landings to speak of, they all have medium and better traction and roughness conditions. Long story short.. I'm searching for a better shock setup. I have tried the 6x1.3 and 6x1.2 flat and tapered up and down with so many different shock fluids from 27.5 to 50 wt.... on the E car I'm currently running fairly stiff Mugen springs, 1.6 x10 rear and 1.6x8.75 front and am currently liking the 8x1.2's flats up with 45w(650) front and 40w (550) rear. Car feels good, still bottoms and gets very unsettled on hard hits. I have other cars/ trucks in he stable that eat up those landings like nothing. What shock setups are you all running? I've never tried other manufacturers pistons, are the AE flat pistons that big of a difference? VRP or others?
