Hello everyone,,
Ok, after weeks of endless testing/racing no matter what I tried i could not get my factory 808 e to feel as good as my converted 2010 808 I threw everything I had at this car.. I live in the mid west so it's cold ,track temp is 27-35 deg max so,if we can water it we do if not its dry med to low bite clay.. I tried every xray diff oil from 20,000 to 2000.. shock oil 60-30 I found that this car works best "for me" with:
shock oil.. Losi 30/27.5rear
Diff oil xray 5/xray7/losi2 rear
shocks top outside on tower front and rear
A-arm outside hole frt n rear
blue/gray springs 10 hole pistons
max anti squat
the biggest change is tires I love aka tires but the insert is too firm for cold dry conditions the best i found when its too cold for water is cityblocks super soft but its still borderline loose on power. when we have traction hands down best tire panther is switch 2.0 with kit insert "Im thinking any aka tire with panther inser will work ".. I hope the new aka soft insert is as soft as the plane ol foam panther insert.. I'm going to build a few new tire/foam combos with aka tires n post what I find.. with the 2.0's the car was on rails! .. I'll keep testing tires and diff oil... xray 2000 feels like losi 5000 this had a big role in rotation and on-power traction. Zero setup's applied from my 2010 converted 808 to the New 808... with new bulk heads and extra holes on the a-arms, will make it that much better!
