Post subject: | Engine mount |
Hi, I have the optional engine mount for a Novarossi P5 assembled on my XB8R. Will an RB Concept engine fit on the very same engine mount or do I have to purchase a new one?? Thanx! -R |

Thers no problems with clearance with the v-spec. I really havent noticed any problems installing any of them... You shouldnt be worried about that, just put it in and race:-) Robert |

I run the v spec on mine but i have a problem with fly wheel not reaching down enough for the bump start i use the ofna strter box that the only problem i have did you need to change the engine mounts i used the standard ones the XB8 comes with. |

Maybe your starterbox has to big diameter for the chassies. I think size varies from brand to brand of starterboxes...I use mugen one and it works great. See if they have a smaller wheel for it.... or the last thing to grind the sides of the flywheel hole abit. Robert |

Or possibly try to get rubber higher placing shims under rubber inside starterbox (and possibly under engine). I'm running Hobao plastic box, put 2-3mm under rubber mounts and box engine. (And slightly Dremel the box itself ![]() |
