is it absolutely necessary to use shock boot protection? what do u guys use? i heard of people using balloons what do u guys think of from here: http://www.badhorsie.com/products/shock-covers.html thanks in advance[/url] |

It`s not necessary to use them at all, I use them in one of our winter race here i norway because the snow tends to pack down in the shock collar so the downtravel of the shocks get`s hurt. otherwise there is now use in them, maybe just for looks:) |

Well they protect your shock o-rings from debris, I suggest using them. Even thou they tear apart everytime im changing springs or something. GS boots work also and are bit cheaper 'round here. Dunno about your area what are the prices and availability. What else can you expect from a dude who breakes more parts of his car while tearing it apart than summer of racing... Gotta get new 2mm Hudy (Note to myself: When dremeling screw heads they might get hotter than the plastic can handle...) |

you should use them they protect from dirt getting in your shocks certainly on very dusty or muddy tracks but use troubleless ones I use mbx ones when i clean my shocks every 4-8 w.e of driving the oil is as clean as new like you said, the narrowest party ballons will do nicely ones you get the hang of it... |
