Post subject: | Ned help with traction problem |
Ok, I have a suspension tuning problem with my buggy. I got second place at the track yesterday but I could do much better if I could come into the turns a little bit faster. I can't though because for so reason my car just slides through the turns. The car wasn't really loose because the rear wouldn't come around and I had good traction in a straight line... no fishtailing or anything. It just felt like my car was skating around on ice in the turns with both the front and rear just coasting across the dirt. What could be the problem? I'm thinking the roll center may be too low since it won't traction roll no matter what I do. For tires, I'm running Treadz Jollys. They are very similar to the Proline Crime Fighters. The fast guys here run the Crime Fighters mostly but the tires are so similar to me that I don't think that's the problem. Maybe I'm wrong though. Any suggestions? |

go up on the rear toe. for instance if your running 2.0 degrees increase it to 2.5 or even 3.0 degrees. That will help lock the rearend in on the car, and helps the car square up better coming out and after turns. |

If the leaders are on Crimefighters borrow a set (can't hurt) ....also what are you running for caster, toe and camber...front and rear?....they all affect how the car drives in and out of the corners... |
