XRAY - Model racing cars

Mario, the XB8 forum isn't as active as it used to be and a big reason for that I believe is because there are now too many stickys at the top. When people go to the forum, instead of seeing various interesting new topics, all you now see is the same stickys over and over again. There ares so many that you can only see about 2 new topics without scrolling down on a regular sized monitor.

I know all you have to do is scroll down to see the newest topics but that's not how the mind works. It is still seen by forum users (subconciously) as though the forum is dead so people don't post as much. I know it sounds silly but I have an engineering degree focusing on user interface, usability, and design and I use it as a consultant to apply to web design so I know what I'm talking about. Research shows that forums get more user activity with more topics above the fold.

My suggestion is to have one sticky at the top which references to all the other stickys. In phpbb, you can make admin the only one who can post new topics (new stickys) there but regular users can still reply. There will undoubtebly be more and more good ideas for stickys in the future that will extend even further down the page making it worse until you implement a solution such as this.

I don't really check your other vehicle forums but I'm sure it will help them as well with that configuration.
