Post subject: | Fuel tank discussion |
I have a problem with my XB8. When the fuel in the tank gets to the top of the internal baffles it leans out the engine. I replaced the tubing and even shortened the pressure tube by running it in front of the engine. The tank has no obvious damage and holds pressure. Has anyone experienced this problem? I don't want to have it lean out and destroy my engine. Do most of you run the tubing around the back of the engine? I am reluctant to do that afraid of the heat from the manifold and engine causing problems with the tubing or causing vapor lock. Its really hot here in Tx. Does running a shorter pressure tube increase the pressure in the tank? Thanks Griz |

my friends xb8 has the same problem and after hard braking the engine goes out, i think there could be an leak right above the internal filter. we have the fuel lines around the engine and i have no problems with my xb8. tomorrow i will take a closer look into my friends tank and try to find some damage, or possibly the filter is loose. sorry about my poor english ![]() |
