The battery compartment is 15.6cm long and 5.5cm wide. Can't tell you the height at the moment as my car is in pieces but it is more or less adjustable as you can shim your bodyshell upwards.
Don't go too heavy on the battery though or your l/r balance will suffer.

I run a ProTek 4250mah that is 138.25mm x 47.2mm x 49mm. 4 cell.
49mm is the width and 47.2mm is height. My post are stock.
I have a thin foam spacer in the frt and back and on the outside.
The body rest and the Velcro straps and it tilts the body just a tad.
I bought a MaxAmps that is 39mm height and the body doesn't touch the straps.
I use the stock body.

I did see some bodies at Thornhill ReOpening Race this weekend on the XB8E that have a lot of clearance.
I was told they are a Snow Design but I have been unable to confirm it.
The website doesn't show much either, but the Tekin speed controller had at least and inch of clearance above it.
The bodies cab was low and rounded and the back sloped from the cab to just in front of the rear mounts.

Also I have tried the JConcepts "Finisher" body for the MP9 and it is a work around. Not a solution, or good one.

Good Luck, you'll love the buggy
