As for Yannick Aigoin with his WS7II who was making the fastest laptimes of the day and leading his semi final with great ease, has run out of fuel just before the second planned pitstop..., he missed the final for 1 meter....

you should have heard the French crowd sigh as his car stopped!
they were going mad!

the weather made pretty much all of the qualifying a lottery and we spent most of it just trying to waterproof the cars & keep them running

the weather improved considerably for the Final and there were a few guys missing who should have been there as Danny Vega was standing next to me watching it for a while :roll:

Check the

Yannick was incredible with the XB8 and dominated the qualifications taking TQ and the racing and performance of the XB8 powered with RB he showed in semi final was amazing too. In few minutes after start he was leading already one lap when he got out of fuel just few meters before the time loop that is in front of the pits so the whole one lap did not count. But still he was able to fight back and if there was one more lap he would pass the car in 4th and 5th place with easy. Though a bad luck was with us and the time was out just when Yannick was a meter behind the last qualifying car.

Anyway the performance of XB8 was incredible and Yannick did the best show we have seen. Well, this is racing and hopefully the good luck will be with us next time.
