Post subject: | XB 9E decreasing riding high rear |
Hello X-Ray community Last week I have changed my LRP S8 Team against a XB 9e. Yesterday the car was ready for the first set-up. For the Standard Setup Team X-Ray recommends a rear riding high of 27mm. But it was not possible to decrease the rear riding high (both springs are not under compression). The shock Absorber are correct assembled and it is impossible to get under 35mm. For the front riding high (23mm is rec.) it was no Problem to reach the correct value. What could be the reason for this ? Thanks in advance Valentino ![]() |

if you cant get the car lower than 35mm in the rear.. something is definitly wrong.. i would assume you have a stuck piston.. or your shocks are built wrong. you should be able to get well below 35mm.. do you have any pictures? |

Thanks for your answere. The piston is running smoth. No Piston stocking. In my car kit X-ray used the progressive Long springs . They discribed, that for the rear Absorber 2 strips medium soft spring should be used but in my car kit I have only 3 strips (medium) Long springs available. Could be the reason that I have the wrong springs assembled in the rear. The overall lenght of the shock is 122,9mm. PS : I can`t attache pictures. Can you give your E-mail, than I send them to you. Thanks |

i run the longer progressive spring in my car as well.. with no issues of ride height. i did go to the 2stripe in the rear.. but.. have run 3 stripe.. im assuming you have the shock collar threaded all the way to the top.. maybe you should run the car a couple laps.. to let the spring settle in.. |

fully compress the springs with your hands a few times this seems to help. you could also leave them fully compressed in a vice over night. |
