I would like to ask your help/opinion. I'm totally confused now and have no more idea.

I cannot adjust the left and right rear toe-in to equal value with the same bushings L&R. I've just changed to new (soft) rear arms, new rear alu hubs and put on a new 0-2° rear plate onto the car.

There's still 0.4-0.5 degree difference, measuring on the alu Hudy Setup System. With the "0" bushings in the hubs, and the ->1 1<- bushings in the plate the rear toe-in is 0.4-0.5 degree on the left and 0.8-0.9 degree on the right.

If I put the ->.5 1<- bushing the rear toe become more or less equal, but not really good since originally I would have liked to adjust 0.5° inboard and 2° outboard toe-in. And now, I cannot get the right side lower than 2.8-2.9°.

So the question would be:
- has anybody else noticed this?
- what am I doing wrong :oops: :roll:

Should I beleive in the bushing or the setup system :?:

Thank you for your answers. Of course everything is double checked and the bushings position is correct.

Unfortunately, my problem hasn't solved yet and I still think that 0,5° degree difference in the rear toe is quite significant... :?

Since you have tried three different buggies and they all read the same, have you considered that maybe your setup board is off by .5? Did you use the same setup board for all of the other buggies?

Dont sweat the setup board for the rear of the car , especially a car that has insert bushing. As long as your bushing match and are equal the car is setup correctly and evenly. The car is designed and parts are made for the equal adjustments of teh same bushing on both sides, and even if the board reads something else the engineering of the parts and car are correct. Just use equal bushings in the suspension holder and in the new alu rear hubs to acheive your setup on bith sides and the car will handle the correct way. I find the rear part of teh setup station useless on a car that has a non pivot ball rearend. I also find that people who measure track width in the front on a c-hub design are wasting there time also as the car is stationary without adjustable track with unless your using optoin arms or option hubs and as long as parts are used equally on both sides the car and engineering will be setup correctly no matter what the board reads. Leave the thinking up to Xray when they design the parts. If they designed it that way , it is the way it is supposed to be used and i'm sure there not leading us in the wrong direction.

I think it's a big problem with the setup plate, that there are no instructions for the actual buggy setup at all. This leads into a big confusion when trying to be sure you're measuring things the right way.

I'd hope HUDY would update the manual to instruct about the buggy setup plate! This would be great since that's one thing that is a distinct difference usually with hudy/xray products and other products.
